Biography
Rebecca Saxe is the John W. Jarve (1978) Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences and the Associate Dean of the School of Science. She is also a member of the McGovern Institute and the Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines. Professor Saxe received her BA from Oxford University, and her PhD from MIT. Before joining the MIT faculty, she was a Junior Fellow in Harvard’s Society of Fellows. Professor Saxe has authored peer-reviewed papers on the cognitive neuroscience of social cognition, Theory of Mind, and moral judgment. Her TED talk has been viewed millions of times, and has been translated into 33 languages.
