Biography
Cynthia Breazeal is a professor of media arts and sciences at the MIT Media Lab and the founder and director of the Personal Robots Group. She is also the founder of Jibo Inc., and the author of Designing Sociable Robots. Her research focuses on developing personal robots that are socially intelligent and can work with and learn from humans as peers. She was a finalist for the National Design Awards and was recognized as Fortune Magazine’s Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs. Breazeal earned a BS in electrical and computer engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara, and an ScD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT.
